Interinstitutional Whole Slide Imaging Teleconsultation Service Development

Conducted by Massachusetts General Hospital’s Pathology Department, the study examines training and workflows for the use of WSI technology in second-opinion consultations as well as a comparison of WSI and glass slide diagnoses of actual second-opinion consultation cases. Results of this study show that WSI consultations can be used with excellent accuracy leading to quicker results and improved patient outcomes.
