Corista announces first granted US patent for their Digital Pathology technology

Corista, the Digital Pathology Network Platform provider, is pleased to announce that the US Patent and Trademark Office has granted Patent #8,244,912 B2 to Corista for its digital pathology technology.

This is the first of several patents Corista has applied for with the US and World PTO’s. This is a foundational patent that provides for a networked functionality where remote and expert medical centers can share, comment, and diagnose pathology cases, without the need to physically or digitally transfer the pathology images. This patent is the basis on which several additional patents have been filed, creating a comprehensive technology infrastructure for the Corista platform.

The Corista Digital Pathology Platform, and its patented technology, is currently in use at several leading Pathology centers around the United Sates. Using the Corista platform, these centers are able to provide immediate, on-demand pathology services to remote medical center. The result is faster, better medical care for patients regardless of physical location.
